"On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.” ― Hunter S. Thompson
Hi Paul. I've always been curious about the strings on Heartworm. They are class. My favourite string arrangement is the one on Morning Rise. You said in a recent interview on The Big Album Show that Myles was good at the string arrangements. Can you elaborate more on his input in the string arrangements? How did Myles go about these string arrangements? Does Myles play piano? If so did he write the string part on the piano and show it to the guy who did the string arrangements? Or did he hear a melody for a string melody in his head and sing it to the guy who arranged the strings? And who was the guy you worked with who wrote out the final string arrangements? And how much was his input on each song that had strings. I'm really curious about this part Heartworm because the strings are a big part of Heartworm. I'd love it if you could shed some light on this part of Heartworm. Cheers man.
Great piece, Paul.
Thanks a million Jason
Love this series, Paul. Really transports the reader back to the time
Thanks Tim - that means a lot. I want to write about that special time before memory begins to fade, and it is lost forever.
The book is taking shape, Paul.
Haha -thanks Conor. Not sure if anyone would be interested in a book - but we will keep going with this here until people lose interest completely!
Beautifully written. I can feel the excitement.
Thanks Peter -appreciated.
